NZ China Council chairman Sir Don McKinnon says Patrick English will be the council’s new executive director whose initial focus will be on preparing for the inaugural NZ China Partnership Forum to be held in Beijing in April.

English who has worked for NZ Trade and Enterprise for 17 years has just completed a term as NZ Consul General and Trade Commissioner in Guangzhou. He was part of the team which negotiated the FTA with China.
